Class description: An exuberant and joy-filled practice, Viewpoints is a methodology that serves as a companion to all acting techniques. This training does not replace your previous methods, but instead compliments them and infuses your work with new energy and excitement! Applicable to stage and film, practicing the Viewpoints frees the actor, strengthens the courage to make spontaneous and truthful in-the-moment choices, and effectively builds ensemble work. The Viewpoints are regularly used in Anne Bogart's SITI Company, Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre, and LOFT ensemble Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.
To Reserve Your Space: A $50 deposit is required to reserve your space in the Spring session. The remaining balance will be due on the first day of class. Checks can be made payable to LOFT ensemble and the studio accepts Visa/MC.

TESTIMONIALS FOR ACTOR / TEACHER CHRISTINA HOWARD
“I have had the pleasure of working with Christina on two occasions when she was asked to lead Viewpoints-based, ensemble-building workshops as a way to kick off the rehearsal process of productions. Christina’s style is friendly and playful, but also disciplined and focused. She brings joy to the work and work to the joy, encouraging actors to go as far as they can. She has a natural curiosity that is refreshing and infectious. It feels more like collective discovery than traditional knowledge sharing. This is because her mind and heart remain open to learning even as she teaches and leads.”
A.J. Diamond | Actor
“Christina has encouraged drastic improvements in my performances. Through her fearless approach to art, I have been able to mold characters into far more complex and organic people, and have discovered tools I never know I had. She makes acting easy.”
Cameron Britton | Actor
"Christina is absolutely brilliant! In working from the physical, she intuitively helped to navigate me to the heart and soul of each character (in my one woman show), all the while honoring me and my process. She creates a safe and playful space that gives you the freedom to go deeper. she's honest, direct and very very loving. Christina is one-of-a-kind!!!"
Emily Morwen | Writer | Actor
"I have had the privilege of working with Christina Howard on two occasions. Professionally she was a Viewpoints movement coach for a production I was cast in and personally I have attended her Viewpoints and acting workshops. Christina is a passionate, vibrant and highly skilled instructor. She introduced me to the Viewpoints work and it continues to serve me professionally and personally on many levels. She knows how to coach and empower her students to reach for their highest potential. Christina Howard has been and continues to be a tremendous inspiration in my life!"
Mary T. Sala | Actor | Certified Voice, Speech and Awareness Coach
"Christina Howard cast me in a play she was directing. It was one of the most amazing and challenging experiences to date. It was the first time I was introduced to THE VIEWPOINTS. Learning the viewpoints with Christina is not for the weak, but for anybody who is serious about finding that focus and vocal and physical power every actor needs to become a more polished performer. I know that working with Christina and being introduced to the concept of the Viewpoints made me a stronger, more focused, energized and confidant actress and person today! It is old school discipline with a whole new twist. I am very grateful to Christina for this workout that made me sweat, think and strive to be in a best emotional and physical shape possible!"
